Continuing our four year works at Smithfield Meat Market alongside PAYE Stonework & Restoration Ltd.

A £1M plus scaffolding package, secured last year, to give access to enable refurbishment af the existing Meat Market to make way for the new home for the Museum of London.

A very design intensive project with collaboration between four Consulting Engineering companies and our own In House Design Department, working to acheive very specific loading criteria in a Contraints Document.

Works include a 52.00m x 52.00m x 6.00m high birdcage – inclusive of bridging over a 30.00m x 13.00m exclusion zone and a 20.00m x 20.00m existing welfare area.

6 No. differing length 25.00m span Hakitec temporary roofs over the birdcage built from full length beamed supports, off towers, to allow roof steelwork installation to progress.

Access to existing cast iron columns and existing timber roof lanterns to allow refurbishment.

In excess of 2 miles of modular X Beams installed to date.

Installation works carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic.
